Not political because this is a State visit hosted by the King not the government.

I dont know what sort of coverage you have over there but i thought you might like to se these pictures

in my 65 years this is the biggest state visit i have ever seen and its certainly the first time any leader has had a second state visit.

While the red arrows did a fly past the expected joint fly past of USAF and RAF f35's was called off because of the weather Lets hope the Russians dont attack when its cloudy or windy or we will have to attack them with Red white and Blue smoke

Frankly Paddy, I read more UK news than US. I don't have a lot of faith in any news org out there. I suspect it's the usual stuff "Orange man bad" from the left leaning media, "Greatest visit ever" from the right leaning.

Kate is easy on the eyes.

I see the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps are their. Never really understand why they have Red Coats...should be Blue I would think.

On the uniform thing Wiki says "Military musicians of the period wore the reverse colors of the regiments to which they were assigned" which would explain the Red.

they are very small group and pretty insignificant.

They sure do make a lot of noise....

The funny thing is if you dont want a monarchy and you dont like a democratic leader/President....then what do you want
