When some og you guys said layering for the wash, shall I spray a clear coat in between the darker brown wash and lighter brown wash?
More blending Chad, go after those brush strokes and make them go away before your next clear coat.
or a paper towel, cotton swab, your finger. With this wash right now you don't have to have any thinner on the bursh. Use a dry brush or whatever to blend in that color.
Very nice.![]()

Not sure if I should add a darker or lighter pin wash. :hmmm

Mix it up Chad, dark colors around the engine deck and other mechanical areas, lighter colors up high where it's just dust accumulation etc.
You don't always have to address every surface detail with the same color, that can often produce a monotone finish with the entire vehicle looking the same. Some of the most interesting finishes I've seen show different shades and tones throughout the surface area. A nice dusty panel right nest to a dark grimy panel can really pop and the contrast is very pleasing to the eye.
Mix it up a little, it's fun and can really look great! :v
