And I wouldn't be overly surprised to find the dog got its tail caught in one of those belts. Looks like an OSHA nightmare!

Maybe so, but everyone looks to be well-trained and careful so they most likely have a better safety record than many companies that are OSHA certified. I guess when people are treated as adults, they take care of themselves and each other so accidents and injuries are extremely rare.

The place probably doesn't have enough employees to fall into OSHA regs or ISO audits. Just make wood boxes, that's all they need to worry about.

They have a historic designation of some sort, so that probably explains the lack of all the safety rigamaroll. When I was starting in the trade, the saying was "Start with 10, finish with 10". hyeah
