World War I kits

Ladies and Gents I would like to ask if any of you have a WW 1 kit for sale - not airplanes / ships, but trucks / vehicles of any kind, artillery would be ok, figures ok as well.

Preferably in 1/35th, other scales will be considered. A big interest if it was an Australian subject.

Haven't been able to find much at my usual suppliers, maybe you have a kit you're happy to sell. Will pay for postage, of course.

I can tell you that there will be an explosion of WWI related kits this coming year. James already let you know of several. If you can't wait, I will be able to spare an RPM FT-17 (bought the Takom from the eBay seller James mentioned - yes, when you are a good customer, the seller offers you things not listed on his eBay store), and a Tauro A7V (of which one is still in Australia). If these interest you, PM me but bear in mind that shipping is expensive even though I only ask for the actual cost (none of that silly handling fee business).

Saul, what's the value on those RPM kits? i have 2 here and i have seen prices around 40 euro! i think it's a lot for those kits, is it collectibles or something?

Well, with the release of the Meng kit (which is expensive) and the Italeri kit (which will be cheaper than Meng's) I expect the value to be low on the RPM kits (especially since I have three with Aber, PArt, and Armo updates).

Not forgetting also Mengs 1/35 "French Super Heavy Tank Char 2C kit" that is out soon..
And as Saul mentioned Tacoms big 1/16 WWI tank, there is also the 1/35 "French Heavy Tank St.Chamond Early Type with Iron Mask Man" coming soon too.

Have the 1/16 scale already, and probably will get the two others two when they are avail. Its nice to see that the "new producers" are focusing in WWI items.

But Italeris WWI tank I cannot find or remember.. Can you give more info on that one Saul?

Hi Edward. The Char 2C and St. Chamond are both available now. I have the St Chamond and its a nice looking kit. 2 paint schemes in it. PMMS has a review already as well here http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/takom/takom2002.html
The Meng Char 2 C should be in my hands next week I hope.

As for the Master Box tanks I just found out that they are 1/72 scale. Kind of disappointed with that.
And also the Tauro A7v might still be found somewhere.

What do you think of the Takom kit you have? Is it a good kit?

James: Your a lucky guy - I have to wait to get those kits untill next year as I have a selfimposed stop on bying more kits this year. (Started mid-november)

The Tacom kit is (IMHO) a good kit. The plastic is a bit "oily" so you should clean the parts good before you start building it. It is big as its a 1/16 scale kit. And it has very nice details. And it can be built either OOB or with added scratched extraparts. I have not started on it yet, so I have not started diving into references and such yet. But a fellow modeller have said that there is a few parts that need to be added, but he did not elaborate witch parts though.

Thanks Edward. I am hoping to do the St. Chamond in the WWI campaign starting in January. I'll wash the sprues for sure now.
