I've got an old Saitek X45 that I really like.

A few years ago I was really heavy into online flight simming, and this joystick got a lot of use. I started looking at hte next stick up from this one, the X52 & X52 Pro, but couldnt justify spending the money when my X45 worked just fine. I then got out of simming for various reasons.

About the time I stopped simming, I think the X65 was coming out, and just taking a quick look, it looks like they've added more goodies to the X65 since I saw it last.

Unfortunately I've been out of it long enough that I cant really give any input on whats good or available now.

Always loved the Saiteks James...course that could be because they always gave the option for us southpaws to have left handed controls...they now have rudder pedals and the whole deal-- but their simple sticks were always awesome...

I always liked the Thrustmasters but I haven't even looked at how they have evolved today. I got a set of HOTAS Cougar around here somewheres.

James, I have an old Cyborg destined for a yard sale- send me your addy and I'll ship it off to you.

My Saitek X-45 is a HOTAS, and it is absolutely the way to go for simming. I've never tried separate pedals, but my Saitek has rudder controls build into the throttle. W/ the advent of double throttles now, I'm not sure how rudder control is worked out. The X52 has a single throttle, but I know the X65 is double throttle, and the Thrustmaster throttle that was brought out when DCS:A10 was released is also a double throttle.

I always liked the Thrustmasters but I haven't even looked at how they have evolved today. I got a set of HOTAS Cougar around here somewheres.
