ah well may be I'm doing too much at the moment, anyway :) I started another one. I call it wet feet.

Well so far I experimented with acrylics mixed with future and some preshading ... :) a plane builders way

I'm not sure how this will turn out and how long it will take to dry completely. I used LUKAS Crystal Gel ( http://www.besthobby.de/shop/shop.asp ... german, sorry) which in fact is a acrylic clear gel, a good way to simulate water, if you don't want to go the crystal resin way.

There are several other acrylic clear gels around and I assume most of them are just the same.

This stuff is great for tons of other things, you even can use it as a clear coat, when thinning with water.

The wet feet is an experiment for using it in a very thick coat. A thin coat (about 5mm) dries in about 6 hours and is rock hart after 24 hours. This coat is about 1.5 cm thick :) .... well we'll see
 
Thanks Laura - well you haven't missed much - just a small test object for my DDay vignette and for the figure painting, well I'm not an hero here
