VERY fine wood working

I have been a furniture restorer for many years, in the late 90's I had my own shop. Now, on Mondays, thanks to a mutual friend, I work with one of the top woodworker/furniture makers in the nation who happens to live right near me. Restoring furniture and making furniture are two different worlds but we met and clicked. This is one of the latest creations. A Demi Lune with nine drawers made with bubinga, sycamore, cherry. Black ebony and sycamore string inlay, The drawer pulls are Black Ebony and Ivory.

That is beautiful. Man I wish I had half a clue on how to do something like that. (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y)

Thanks Guys. There is no sandpaper used on these pieces. All of the final shaping, fitting and wood prepping for finish is done with hand planes chisels and spoke shaves.

I was production manager for a wood milling company back in '87-88 and learned to real appreciate good work... This is beautiful. :notworthy

How far do you live from Cleveland? :yipee
