Vallejo English Uniform equivalent in Tamiya

Hello everyone

Plese, can someone teach me about the Vallejo´s English Uniform equivalent mix using Tamiya´s colors?

Searching at Google I found a direct equivalence with Tamiya´s XF-52 flat earth ... but I can not belive it ...

Any help? Thanks in advance

Jose Luis

You may have to mix it up with something,..how about Khaki drab ?

What are you going to use it on by the way?

Don't know if you want to use Tamiya acrylics, or do you want to use Tamiya enamel paint.[is the Tamiya enamel paint still produced?]
I find it difficult to paint with the Tam.acrylics uniforms, because of there surface tention.
So I used there enamels paints.

Andy might be right, you should mix in another color.[more darker]

If you like to paint with enamels, give HUMBROL 29 a try,Francois Verlinden used to paint British uniforms with that stuff.

Hope this can help you.

Greetings,Ron.

Hey Jose Luis,

Found the HUMBROL site, they do also acrylics,
Check it out.

They have the 'British uniform'color [29] also in acrylics.

I have never tryed there Acrylics, maybe someday....

Greetings,Ron.

Thanks for your replies :)

I´m going to paint some blankets and tarpaulins in that color. As they´re big, I want to paint them using my airbrush, just using the brush for the final touches.

Seems that Tamiya do not have the perfect match for this color, but Gunze Sangyo H-81 seems nice for this task. Thank you!
