Valentine Mk II

Thanks all. A bit more done. Camera shows some areas that really need touching up too. Ticked off about air brush.

Just a bit more and the right side is done and a step closer to painting the chassis top. Better start making my decals soon I guess. Want to finish this and then finish my Mig so I can get desk space for the B-25.

Nope tip is fairly new. The paint just bubbles up inside the cup. Air flow out the front, I can feel it, but no paint flow. Put it through the sonic cleaner yesterday and still nothing. I dont get it. How can I have air flow yet the paint blows back??

I really thought I had responded to this. Sounds like the needle bearing to me.

Send it down to Badger, they'll fix it for free and send it back ASAP. I had about a 2 week turn around on two airbrushes.

Interesting built James. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Can't help with that airbrush. I would have to see it.
Curious about what you used for the brown paint ? Looks a lot like what I was looking for to shoot the Hurricane . I wound up mixing it instead.

Cheers, Christian B)

I've had that happen- one too many burritos. :stinker I kid, I kid! You've got a bad o-ring, knaus-maus. Do you have rubber or teflon bearings? Lacquer eats up them rubbah ones, yum-yum!

Almost ready to paint the hull.

Got the hull primed. Started to paint the hull last night and sprayed on a test model first. Everything good. Sprayed the kit and no paint. Now I'm getting blow back. :vmad Getting fed up. Seems par for the course. Overtime Friday, disappointment Saturday, have to work today. Yeah

Did you send the AB off to get repaired?

Looks like you're getting something covered, looks good. :zen :zen :drinks

Thanks everyone. No havent sent the AB off yet. Still waiting to find out info for sending it.

Okay tinkered with the standby brush and got it working. Sprayed the Sand Pink and then the lightened sand pink. Give it a day then do the slate and try and touch up the turret slate. Then its detail painting and weathering and adding the tracks. Tracks are being a pain right now. These ones come with a very soft wire unlike any I've used from Fruil. It bends and kinks if you look at it sideways.

Hiya James! Might I suggest substituting .020 brass wire for the Friul wire? You may need to drill out the holes for the wire, but it is stiffer and makes the assembly easier. I used that method on my T-55 and really liked it. (y)

Hi Mike. Only problem is that brass rod is hard to come by here and the tracks are very small. I found some Panzer 1 tracks in a drawer and am thinking of taking the wire from them. Hope to have them done this week, but if work keeps up as it is I dont know. Thanks
