I always though this tank looked cool, like the early stuart tanks. Really looks like a "tank". Plus,I always hear"Walzing Matilda" in my head when I see this one for some reason. Will be watching what you do with this one.

Okay still toddling on.I have ordered 3 Archer sets to make Redoubtable or Retort as per this document

This scheme
I'm keen to try the Desert Pink and Slate scheme. Will have to try and make my own unit markings.

Great choice! I love that vehicle, in fact, one of my future works will be another Valentine tank but in England. It´s so nice looking! Will follow with interest your post!

It is a cool tank. I Have the Mk I also and found markings for Retort in England with the green and black cam. Thinking of doing a second Retort.

I'm going to try Vallejo Brown Sand 70876 and white mixed 4:1. And then tweak from there.

Re: Valentine Mk II Model shelved

:vmad Well found that the instructions arent so great for the back end of the kit. Have screwed up the rear deck so now rear doors will not fit. Tried to gently pry apart and the plastic is soft enough it distorted cracked and is beyond repair. So this kit is now shelved until I can buy a new one, maybe next month. Really torqued over this. Oh well, at least I know for the next one and for the Mk I. Back to the Mig and getting close to paint stage, Cant wait.
Sorry to anyone who was watching.

:vmad James :(

Re: Valentine Mk II Model shelved

Dude, you a snake bit for sure! Sorry to hear of your misfortune, I was looking forward to this one!! :(

Re: Valentine Mk II Model shelved

Can you show us the damage? It would help others avoid the mistake. Also, if an aftermarket engine is bought, replacement doors may be included...
