I cheated by measuring out the wire against Dragon legs,.. marking off the hips knees and ankles
I done this because a wanted a figure of that scale to work with the hornet head.

:drinks

The joy of the copper wire is that you can adjust the legs after the superglue has dried off

I`m only copying what the chaps over on TL and PF do when making their chaps it seems to be working out for me.

My marine is out on the back stairs now drying up after my first installment of fleshing out.

Piccys much later on after Im happy with the flesh :)

Thank you very much all for your kind comments

Well after being ever so excited with the results of the fleshing out I went straight onto doing the trousers and folds without taking pics I have one leg curing now and I shall complete the lower leg tomorrow and then I shall take the shots.

Basically I fleshed out my adding a sausage of putty to the copper wire rolled them round the wire using the handle of a small paintbrush being careful to clean the handle frequently. I then defined the putty into a leggy shape adding thighs kneecaps and calves etc etc.

For the trousers it was a simple case of rolling out flat bits of putty and again applying them to the shaped leg finishing off with a wet old brush to smooth and then toothpicks and needles to make the folds.

I must admit its looking quite good ( in my eyes anyway )

Tomorrow will be sanding off and making the folds a bit betterer using needles files etc etc

Until then my friends :)

Ran off a quick pic to show you what I mean, See the lower fleshing out which is a bit thin on this side and see that the trousers need to be sanded and filed down to make the outcome a bit sharper

I love the scruffy baggy trouser look which I was hoping for especially on those torrid times for the battle of Okinawa
