US Check Point in Iraq 1/35th Scale, Kit # MB3591
By Shawn W. Gehling
This is another modern set based on US Army forces in Iraq (manning a check point).

The Kit:
USCheckPointIraqSprue.jpg

Contains 1 sprue with 68 pieces that have no flash.
It has four US Army soldiers, one is kneeling and armed with the M249 machinegun. One is the “Designated Marksman” and carries the M-21 (Modified M-14 rifle), he is adjusting his scope not taking aim as the box art depicts. And two others infantrymen, one is armed with an M-16A2 and the other has an m-16A4 with an ACOG scope. All are in relaxed but alert poses.
The weapons, uniforms and equipment look accurate.
Conclusion: It appears that Master Box has once again released “a diorama in a box”.
The uniforms and equipment are covered in numerous books, so information on these should not be too hard to find.
Overall this should build into an outstanding replica and is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys figures. I would like to thank Alexander Surzhenko of Master Box Models for the review kit.
