Hi all,

I completed the assembly in the last two nights devoted to modelling :peace (y) ... Everything was quite fast due to the small size of this carrier :D . The time consuming work was cleaning and assembling the Modelkasten tracks

I hope you like it...

Thanks for looking.

Hi Massimo.

That is a real nice looking Universal Carrier there. And I totaly understand about the love it hate it feeling of the tracks. But the result, if I may say so, is magnificent and well worth the time (y) .

And where did you get the stowage. It looks great.

Massimo,
Great job... Looks great and all the extra stuff really makes it
jump out...
I picked up two of these at a Mom and Pops little grocery shop
in Thailand back in 1998... One of the things that I used to do
in the Navy was when we pulled into a foreign port, I would try
and find models that were no longer available or not yet released
in the States... These two had been gone for awhile, so I
grabbed both of them... They are still sitting out in the garage
in my stash of kits to someday be built... I plan to do mine as
Lend/Lease Soviet ones... Should be interesting?
Like I said, Looks great so far.

Massimo,
Yes, It was a little hole in the wall store off one of the
side streets. I used to go on liberty (when the ship pulled
in) with a back pack or flight bag over my shoulder and
try and find hobby shops. I figured I was out of luck in
Thailand, since it was mostly drinking establishments and
such... So I got off the main streets and walked into a little
grocery shop (of course I didn't speak Thai and they didn't
speak English, but under some dust there were these two
Bren Gun Carriers (which were not being sold in the US).
So I was really happy and it made the trip there well worth it.
(I was suppose to be doing drug buys at an expensive hotel
which the Government was going to pay for) but since we had
our Brig (jail) open on the ship I couldn't get the time off
and had to run the brig at Midnight every night. So I missed
out on the Drug operation and living like a rock star.
Such is life.
