Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-23MF "Hell Fighter"

Comrades! Pretty much the same kit as Ian is doing just with a few Eduard resin bits -

But before we get on with the build and to get me in the right mood let's make a drink -

Vashe zdorov'ye, tovarich !!

Now, more importantly, Dave, a 'Heads-Up'

In my kit there's a problem with the molding of the main fuselage halves. Just aft of the intake (I suppose you could call it the 'shoulder') there's a thin 'ribbon' of plastic curving downward to the intake trunk, on both halves mine are both warped and broken. Have a check of yours just to be sure, OK ??

Ian.

100% good :drinks

Be careful you don't have too many and grab the Genuine Distilled Turpentine by mistake...

Very nice way to start a build, Dave- Moscow Mules are all the rage and I love 'em. A promising build, this- cheers! :drinks

Dave, what´s color did you use for the interior ?...I´m asking because I´ll need this one for my entry in this campaign : a MIG 21 Bis...

..thanking you in advance...

Best!

Luiz.

:drinks Fellas!
Chuck, it's only been recently since I got into those drinks, being British my vodka's usually accompanied my gin into a martini with a little Kina Lillet :woohoo:

Luiz that colour is more guess work than anything, I used Tamiya X-14 and X-15(more the blue than the green) with a bit of white chucked in. I did one of those Eduard MiG-21s once and had to match a colour to their PE that was the closest, Perhaps not the most accurate but did the job at the time.

(y) The Russians tell me that if you have good Vodka it does not need anything else :idonno

Cheers, Christian B)

Good colour mix there, I'll have to remember that. I have been using model master but I cant use enamels any more. Looking good so far (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y)

Apart from a small piece of card behind the canopy to push the intakes out to meet the shoulders the fit ain't bad and I've yet to use any filler, will have a little sanding to do still though.
