The worst war film ever ?

I always enjoyed "Bridge to far" as it had multi strands, stories within a story. Richard Tod capturing Pegasus bridge was great as he had captured it the first time in real life :)
Yeah talk about a technical advisor. Kinda like in the Great Escape. John Sturges dismissing advice from Donald Pleasence about life in a POW camp until someone told Sturges that Pleasence WAS a POW.

Dirk Bogart was in a movie that was more faithful to the real story Stalag III, name escapes me, no coffee workign yet.

My "Go-to" movies on days when I am under the weather start with Gary Cooper's "Task Force", "They were Expendable" and "Air Force". If I stay awake long enough, Edmund O'Brien and his wise-cracking Jug pilots in "Fighter Squadron" follows. Black and white war movies and chicken noodle soup cure even Wuhan virus!
None of these beloved films were ever meant to be documentaries. Some are downright dumb.
BUT! Even the much maligned "Pearl Harbor" had cool hardware. The only A6M5-52c Zero in the World, in the air with the original Sakae engine! That's funking awesome if your Mom & Dad made you the airplane nut that I am!
