Well after almost a year it hit me again - yes Bob, you're right, it's getting winter :) - and I started the Glencoe Models 1/48 De Havilland Venom FB.4. This - erm - thing is not worth to mention I'd say but for a restarter it's ok as long you find a way to overcome all that missing or missformed parts like the pit or the gear.

jep, after sanding it looks quite ok but the horror fit will come

w_141006_1855_02_1280_S.jpeg

yes, as I said, that's it as things to put into the pit.

I really don't want to scratch a completely pit so I will do it a little different - in a way I did another pig before and that wasn't that bad ... to be continued

I just realized what mip stands for "masochism in perspective" :tomato good to see you back at it, you are one hell of a crappy model builder and I mean that in a good way :drinks

Thanks a lot Luiz

Venoms always looked 'mean & purposeful' to my eye and luckily here in NZ we get to see them quite frequently.

Good progress here, did you say what colour scheme this will be in ??

Ian.

Thank ya all!

The upper side did get some gray and green and decaling has started ...

w_141020_2047_01_1280_S.jpeg

Thanks folks!

Wow, that's really glossy :coolio !! - which paints did you use for the camo ??

Ian

Ian, the gray is from an old tin labled by matchbox, most probably an Airfix or Humbrol color. The green is from life color. On top of that went a blue filter (blue tinted thinner) and then a Future coat for decaling. That's why it's so glossy.

Good to see you posting again!

You must really be into misery and pain to do a Glencoe Kit... :coolio However, you always produce a fine looking product!

Thanks Barney!

the fourth step

decaling is finished ...
