"THE LIBERATOR" (FROM OPERATION OVERLORD)

Re: "THE LIBERATOR"by MrT

Yeah I'll post how I make the tree. It needs to be done by March 8th for a magazine deadline. It should be fairly straight forward as it won't have too much branch work on it.

Re: "THE LIBERATOR"by MrT "LET'S MAN UP"

Well I thought I would get the ball rolling and build the easy part of this project. The figure! There are few parts to this figure and is easy to assembly. The fit is very good and very little filling is required. I cleaned up the flash and mold seams and then added all the accessory items leaving off the grenades and entreaching tool. I cocked the helmet over a little to give the guy a little style. Here are some pictures of the assemblied figure.

Re: "THE LIBERATOR"by MrT "FACE PAINT"

Well guys I have added some paint to the face. I started by base coating the flesh areas with with some flesh tone paint. I let the paint dry and cure or 24 hours. Then I smeared on some burnt sienna oil paint. I let it set for a few minutes and then took a dry brush and removed most of the paint leaving some in the creases. I let this set over night and then began to add some high light tones. Not near done but some progress. Here are some pictures of the work.

Re: "THE LIBERATOR"by MrT "COMING TO LIFE"

The eyes were the hardest part and I'm still not sure if I am satisfied with them.

Thanks Saul!
