The latest Something I 've been doing.........5 x WW1 Armoured cars - progress 12th March 2026 - Romfell WEATHERING

Thanks Paddy, John, James and Bob, appreciate the comments/feedback and so glad you like the weathering on this one.
Also, I hope you noticed that there is no chipping. I wanted to show this vehicle as out in the field but not badly aged - just shows that you can get an attractive finish without lots of chipping damage.

Actually the chipping would only happen if it were to hit something. The early vehicles were rare enough that they usually were not driven crazy nor into stuff, thus the no chipping with weathering is probably more realistic.
Such a strange shape, and it really turned out nice Ian. Makes you wonder why such severe angles and curves especially on the back end.

Thanks Paul and Jeeves for the visit and feedback.
Paul - agreed but the chipping I was referring to is the usual current effect, usually overdone, where the chipping is at the edges of panels and high traffic by the crew reulting in paint deterioration not through collision with another vehicle etc.
Jeeves - that detail was provided by the kit, so all I can claim is leaving the panel off and drilling out the bolts. :coolio2: I don't understand why they give you the detail just to seal it up.
