The Duke's Spaceport Launches the Falcon!

After a good long time, my spaceport has finally launched another Sci-Fi starship. Another? you ask. Yes, I also completed a Star Wars Y-wing, an Imperial Star Destroyer, an Eagle I transporter from Space 1999, and the Babylon 5 space station.

This is my latest ship to be launched from here, the Finemolds 1/72 scale Han Solo's Millennium Falcon:

I didn't want to over grunge it so much, but I did want to show it as used and a bit of abused. Kinda "rode hard and put away wet" type of thing. I don't know how well I succeeded but I'm happy with this result so far. The crew seems to be happy enough to board, with a bit of persuasion from the Empire:

It's hard to see them, but Chewie and C-3PO are inside waiting for everyone to board:

Okay, it's off to the stars for me for awhile. Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Wow, you have come a looooooong way since your first posts and I found a box I never sent. Shame on me! I am glad you don't mind building multiples. This is a one-off and it shows you took your time!

Thank you Paul!

Thank you Saul! I did take my time on this and did my utmost to make it look as good as possible. I have a war game friend in Hollywood who wants to use this as the centerpiece in a game where Luke, Han and Leia try to reach the Falcon before the Imperials snatch them up.

Maybe we can head for the stars in that someday! :geekon:

Also, feel free to send that box, I'd still love to build whatever is in there. Address is the same.

I do build multiples too, mostly when I can make them for different countries or variants.

Thank you John! I am looking forward to taking it to some shows and see how she fares.

Thank you Greg! It helps to channel my inner Star Wars geek. Stay tuned, I have a few other ships to build from that galaxy far, far away.....
