Terry's JADGPANZER IV L/48

Well it's finally July and here is my entry for this group build a Jadgpanzer IV L/48. This will be my first experience with anything with zimmert paste so wish me luck. I am thinking about putting the model in a diorama with it crashing through some Normandy hedge onto some poor unsuspecting 101st Airborne guys.

We will see what happens Hmmmmm???

Hey guys finally some progress on the Jadgpanzer. I have worked on the lower hull and suspension. I have added some damaged zimmert to the lower hull sides, parts from the Cavalier zimmert set, and some weld beads. I have some more zimmert to add, but thought I should upload some pic's so you know I am working on the project.

Hey everyone now that I'm finished with the halftracks build I have got something done on my Jadgpanzer IV. 95% of the zimmert is on, have added some more welds, some wiring, some PE, and one run of Modelkasten tracks(100 track links and 200 link pins WHEW!!). I have even done some painting. Well here are some pictures comments welcome.

If you look close there is a weld bead at the base of the exhaust.

Well with the rust out of the way it's time to say the Jadgpanzer IV L/48 is pretty much done. A diorama is still to come and a tank crew, but the tank is done unless someone finds something I need to fix. Here are some photos for your examination and comment.

AHHHHHH! Now that I have had my Sherman fix it's back to work. The next step in this project is making and painting the figures and by the way I have desided on a name for the diorama "BUSHWACKER". All will become clear later on. Here's some pictures of the completed tank crew; they are from Verlinden. Thanks for looking and stay tuned.

Nice looking model, do you make the welds with solder? That's how I make them...

Terry-
Nice job on the Jagdpanzer IV. I have one of these in my stash, I might have to build it after seeing yours! Is it going on a base of any sort? I always thought the jagdpanzer would look good behind some hedgerows in Normandy.

Yep I use solder for most welds except for the small ones.

Shag you hit the nail right on the head. I have started the figures for that little scene.
