Tamiya M1 Super Sherman

OK so here is something I’ve had partially built for some time:

So as you can see there are no pics of the build process. Tamiya kits literally the best combo/sweet spot of detail and simplicity, and this one exemplified it

Basically I used a paint from the IDF paint set from Hataka. I then used part of an old Star Decals set that I’d had basically chopped to pieces. The box art has almost no insignia pictured and I decided to use my clipped up ones as opposed to the similar set that came in it

Looks like all you have left is a flat coat and some heavy dust. No rust in the desert.

Thanks! Yes just a bit or detail paint, some hi lighting, and maybe a bit of streaking and I B thru!

Uploaded but not embedded. @iambrb needs to place the mouse where he wants the images, click the "Insert Multiple" and then check "Select All" and hopefully "Full Image" instead of "Thumbnail" so...

Excellent work.
Tamiya do just an excellent job when it comes to thier shermans. They are so easy to construct and the fit is excellent.
I love the Tamiya shermans.

Soooo……I was doing a Great job with the weathering, and then I spilled Mig Track Wash on it! AHHHH!!!! I tried my bestest to blend it in, but it was just far too heavy. Here is where it was after my best efforts to correct:

So after consulting with Eric and Bob, the idea was to spray over with a light coat of the original color, then just a tad lighter. Sadly the original decals (deckals?). Had to go. They were from a maybe 6yr old set I had and, as the kit came with a set of its own, fixing it shouldn’t be an issue

The lower hull was not sprayed. Plan is to lighten it and make that correction tomorrow. Wow I was worried there, but looks like it’s back on the mend!
