Tamiya 1/48 Tiger I

JSteinman

Master at Arms
What accessories are available for this kit, and which are worthwhile? I am thinking I need a small side project and converting this to a Leningrad Tiger seems like fun.

Hi John.

Well, first yah gotta realise that it is a Tiger. So there is just about a boat load of detail sets you could use. Everything from internal radiator, resin tracks, gun barrels, etc, etc, etc. You could probably spend about $500.00 USD if you wanted to go totaly beserk on it :woohoo: . But here are some links that you might use to check out what there is around for your little Kitty.

I believe that Jenny can tell you all about these guys and their great tracks.

There is also Hauler, a photo etch company that does a lot of 1/48th scale sets, and they have a couple diffrent things for the Tiger I, and I have some of them, and they are great.

And of course there are even more things out there if you search deep enough, but these are the ones that I know of right of the top of my head.
