Tamiya 1/48 He-219 baby steps before the big one.

This is the first campaign for me in quite a while. Tamiya's 48 scale 219. This is not a totally issue free kit but nothing that can not be overcome. Small annoying fit issues in the nacelles and around the hatch for the schragemisik guns and one gap under the wind screen. I did not have the correct shade of RLM 66 on hand so I mixed up something that I thought was close, being as it may, I'll just stick with what I have. The mottles will be a very light application of RLM 75. I have an airbrush that I have been itching to try mottles with for about a year now. Since I am using this build as practice for the 32 Revell one that I have. I'll be able to go a bit more in detail with that one but not as serious as something Paul puts out. If I did that I would just loose interest quickly and wind up flying it out in the street.

BTW, google reminded me the other day it's been 7 years since we broke bread...shared BBQ.

That's a funky paint scheme, what's that clear part up top?
