TAKOM Merkava Mk.II - in camo!!!

Wow so I JUST realized I never started a thread on this! I’ve actually been working on this for some time, intending to buil fully OOB…so heeeeere we go!

So I chose this very specific model because the IDF did something different and tried some of these in camo!

I’ve done a TON of single colour IDF armor as late, so the ability to do something in camo was much welcomed. Note that I am not going to go for ultimate accuracy here. Rather, the pic shown will serve more as inspiration

I am becoming a real TAKOM fanboy. The kit went together super easy with just no problems whatsoever.

So with that done, I used rattle can primer for the black, and masked it off

Next up was an old bottle of Model Master Armor Sand, and the requisite masking

And lastly was using AK Real Colors IDF green from their 3-bottle set. Oddly this is a lacquer paint so thinning wasn’t easy, but I got’r done

As you can see the camo needs some touch up, and again the pattern isn’t truly exact, but it came out quite nice I think, hope you’ve enjoyed my little foray!
