Coffee can lids are great to place tiny parts which won't roll out, super glue doesn't stick (although it is better to put the CA in a 'cup' made from the metal foil seal), and can be cut to make spreaders...

I've NEVER used all my 2-part resin, or RTV rubber mold compounds. Even thought the shelf life is longer than the expiration date, the pint bottles are expensive, and I HATE throwing them away because they just don't react anymore! :stinker :bat
 
The local department store costume jewelry section can be a source of tow chains. Craft stores often have bulk jewelry chain available.

The bottom length is the chain from a Tamiya Char B1 bis, the other three are necklace chains.

And you can always wear a necklace on those times you want to feel pretty while at the bench. :yipee
