I will always be indebted to Chuk for pointing me here when i was hounded off somewhere else by someone unnamed with death threats............lol
I noticed that having posted the finished pictures of my WnW Albatross on somewhere else and here at the same time, my post over there has since had 100 hits with no comment, over here i had 9 comments in 20 hits.
I decided to do a little check ( it was late and i couldn't sleep ) final tally was ....
somewhere else...............1012 hits with 24 comments
Modellers Alliance....539 hits with 57 comments

I can officially announce that Modellers Alliance is nearly 6 times more friendly than the other place
I know its not all about comments but Feedback is always good, sometimes it is helpful, sometimes it lifts spirits when you are about to give up but mostly its about enjoying other peoples efforts and being friendly ;)

Here's to the best modelling site on the WWW. :drinks ;)

We are glad to have you here, your skills add to our wealth of talent. :drinks

I'll second that !!

Never been on a more friendly site......'course there was that time when Lunar Fido deleted everyone
right after I joined in......... :D :D

i Agree with you all, i have been on many forums but the only one close to MA was a swedish one but they closed down due to hackers i think ( i miss seing Tommy's tiger builds.. man he was scratching interiors and everything correct down to the last bolt)
Thanks to all you who makes MA the best forum for modellers!!

Paddy,

Since I am a armor guy,I don't look much into the Wesendorf Field section, but when I do,I am surpriced at all those superb build you 'fly-guys' do here at MA.
I might not comment a lot on aircraft builds [just know too little about it] but you all do SUPERB builds.
I do how ever think that armor and aircraft builders CAN learn from each other.

Here's to MA; :drinks

Greetings,Ron.

Absolutely right Ron :) all my aircraft weathering attempts owe something to armour builds :)

I'll second that !!

:rotf :rotf :rotf

But that ain't got nuffin' to do with it!! :rotf

For the record I got everyone restored so... :pp

You guys are the reason this site rocks. :dude

I think Ron just nailed it.
No matter what you build, you can always pick up something from a different category.

Share something.
Learn something.
Rib friends you have never met in person and get ribbed by the same. :D
Life is good.

PADDY ,

Agreed ! It's a Family here !! I too like RON , don't tend to look much up in th sky , as I'm an Armor builder ... but when I do ... You Guys put together some really cool stuff !

Together as a[strike] Community[/strike] Family .... We can all learn & Cross pollinate th Generes !!

Keep On Rockin Brotha's & Sista's !!

I've been here for a coupla years and still haven't built squaw - I know, I should be ashamed of mself... and I am! My life has had some ups and downs in that period and, what can I say, MA has always helped bring me up. :) The friendly and positive atmosphere here is always a plus, unlike the "other" site. No flames, or at least no serious ones, and a lot of ribbing makes this Forum a fun place to be. :D

The wealth of knowledge available here, well, that's something else! :notworthy The beautiful builds and the sharing of techniques and tips is a very special trait of this Forum, where there is is a lot to learn if you're into model building. :eek:hyeah But the generosity of members is what really makes you feel that you're in the right place: everyone here rocks! :ro:

I just love being here! :dude

Cheers and thanks to all! B)

B) Darn, we're gonna have to increase the frequency of the beatings until the moral goes up ! :vmad :vmad

Seriously, I peek in at several sites but everyone's shorts seem to have too much starch in them . sick:

So, I don't really participate unless I have an answer I can add and then they just get ignored :rotf

Too bad for them, I usually don't offer unless I know .

I like this site. I have learned a lot from watching other builders. Just don't expect a shinny car .

Cheers, Christian B)

I totally agree. Even when I put up a "so-so" build here I get some feedback.

That is the difference between having fun and always in a competition. I'm here to have fun, learn and share.

In fact, I just found some pictures in my Army collection that show close up's of how mud/dirt sticks to tracks that have been in the field for a while.

I really enjoy this site.

Hi Paddy,

I totally agree with you, I guess the succes of the site is because we all have one thing in common; not perfect modelling skills, but the love and fun of the hobby, and the respect for other modellers! (y)
