At 9:00am Texas and Louisiana DOTs closed the Interstate 10 bridge at the Sabine River in southwest Louisiana/southeast Texas due to flooding at the approach on the Texas side. All of this from last week's rain that dumped 20 inches of rain in northwest Louisiana. I don't ever remember them having to close the bridge for flooding. At one point last week, the flood gates at the Toledo Bend Reservoir were letting out 210,000+ cubic feet per second of water into the Sabine River. We're dry here in Sulphur which is in the middle of the parish, but the western side near the river is being evacuated.
