Following Saul's recommendation, the model was sprayed with poly urethane. It was the only sealer on hand. This morning, the first coat of joint compound was applied around the nose and upper fuselage and wings. Kinda looks like the soldier in white from Catch 22. Gary S.
 
No really! A guy wants a model of a subject nobody makes (yet) and finds some less than usual model supplies and just does it!
I notice the SR-72 Thunderchild shares quite few lines in common with the Tomcat, but it WAS a TOPGUN picture, so you kinda expect that. Don't give up! You're on to something here!
A mold and make Styrofoam glider copies for kids to play with outside?

It was painted brick red yesterday because that's the color I had most of. It shows every lump, bump and divot. Kind like a fat lady wearing leggings. So that means more sanding and filling. Thinking about using Bondo for any filling.Gary S.
