Reference dilemma....

sharkman

Master at Arms

So, I recently went looking for some references for my CRA Heinkel He 60 and found a few. The two shown above as well as Lucas Molina Franco's book on profiles.

There isn't a whole lot of information on this plane and I had already had the Luftwaffe Profile Series No. 7 so I thought I had lucked out when I found the OOP Flugzeug Profile No.3 on Abe's Books. I spent about $50 getting the Flugzeug book and when it arrived, I opened it up and had a look through. Well, it looked very familiar. iI quickly realized that the Luftwaffe Profile series was just a reprint!

Anyway, I'm just a little ticked! I guess I should have checked my references on my references!!!

:( :frantic

Anyone need a copy???

Reference on references .... I will not laugh I will not laugh I wil.......... Sorry I lost the good fight :rotf :rotf :rotf :rotf :rotf

Not totally fiction, LSP has a reference section list books on many common types which helps if you are looking for a reference, many have a description of what the book covers. It wouldn't have helped Warren though, no He 60 listed.

LSP reference section

If you don't have William Green's book Warren, I can scan the He 60 section for you if you'd like.

I am so sorry you went through the same thing I did, however, I didn't spend so much! The Schiffer profile series are just translations. You'd figure I would learn but I ended up with several duplicates, albeit in different languages. I finally stopped when I pulled out everything I had on the He-219 and saw that they were the same with the English translation leaving something to be desired.

Regards,

Thanks for the support, nice to know I wasn't the first to be fooled with a reprint!

Gary, unless Green's book has any interior shots, I think I have enough with the other references I have. Thank you very much for the offer though, I appreciate it!
