Puma 4x4

No pictures this time, but I have 1 side left to go. The baskets on the side are a pain to install. For a good walk around reference I found this site last nite.
Now for the bad news. There are little protuberances all around this vehicle. I got the 4 on the glacis losing only 2 in the process. I just realized that the reason you get so many is there are 26 per side to apply. These things are less than a mm long and attach to a lite dimple on the body. I dont recommend this kit for people like me who have issues with their hands or weak eyesight. I am not sure how I will proceed at this point.
For discussion purposes.

You can see what they look like on the real thing in this picture.

Don't give up the ship yet! Get some plastic rod of simular diameter to use instead of the kit parts. More to hold on to and when glue sets just trim with your sprue cutter.

Terry :soldier

Problem with that Terry is it is shaped. I'll just have to forgo painting for a few weeks as I work my way through these. Oh well. I guess it will give me more time to figure out how to paint UN white.

Terry's right, trim to fit once installed. Shape, like I tell'em all the time. I'm in Shape..round is a shape! :rotf

they like Hex shape or something? I got some Hex shape rod, would send it to you if you want.

Looks like a great little 'grocery-getter'. Dare you to put chrome 5-spokes and a set of 'moon eyes' on it !!

Dont tempt me. Already fighting off the thought of making a Zombie Apocalypse mobile  :D

Some more done. This is becoming a frustrating kit. I truly believe they have over engineered it way out of proportion. Of course that could just be me.

I think I have 5 more bolts or whatever to do on this side. You can see the pieces here.

And after this I have the headlights. I think 18 pieces to make 2 headlight assemblies and almost all of it is pe. Fast losing interest in this kit.

You did some splendid work on this one,James.
Can imagine how you feel however.

If I was in your shoes I would consider a destroyed burnt out rusting vehicle.Sure would be something different for a change.

Greetings,Ron.
