Mechanically it sounds like you are on top of it. Does the brush hog hit the tires when it swings side to side? If the brush hog does not hit the tires, let it be. The dash is red, but the rest us blue. Interesting. I ran about 1000 iterations on a coolaticity simulator. Your tractor came in with a cool factor of about 87.9..

They actually weren't to bad. Just the completely wrong plugs...both kinds.

Idk. Champion spark plugs weren't even in the mix at ALL of the parts stores I went to. Three sets of cross reference plugs didn't work. I had had enough. Finally found a parts store, with an old guy, that smelled of BO mixed with a hint of motor oil (I new I was in the right place then) said autolite 437 for your tractor sir. Thank God there's still some of old these guys alive!
 
Yep, they're treasures and fading fast, no matter what he smelled like, HA!:rotf Like old TV repairmen, gone! Did ya grab a few extra plug for 10yrs down the road, ya never know.

I got the last 4 they had. I guess it'll be having to order online in the future.
 
I have never really understood why champion plugs are so temperamental. There are motorcycle where they are the only plugs that work and others where they dont work at all. I did some tests once and concluded it was lower powered ignition systems that worked better with them so points and condensers and not electronic which sort of made some sense. Now i have reached that stage of life where i will never know and i dont care :) 🤣
