And if you model it the judges would ding you for it.Also, it looks like the left front head light is shot out and only a shell is left.

The Panzer III was a tough build for me. Can't imagine what the half track is like...haha.I do believe you have this just about right with the wear and tear.
I am having trouble trying to think of how I am going to weather my half track. It is making progress and I have the track wheels all finished. Painted them and the frame behind with the "yellow" paint. Painted the tires (all 32 of them) and mounted them. The stuff I have assembled is looking really interesting and I am liking it so far. Definitely NOT a build for the faint hearted super detailer. I also found an error in the plans that could not be undone. It isn't noticeable to anyone that doesn't know, but it is a bit on the irritating side. Could not have caught it as the first parts go on reletively early in the build and the mate up parts are quite a ways past on the other side of building the engine and running gear.
It has been a bit of a pain in the can. Like the Pak 40 though it is coming together and looking quite good so far. The hard part is getting the paint looking good. It is getting there and I am learning a bit in the process. One thing I did was waited to put the armor sides on. Turns out it wasn't a real problem after all. One big error is the wheels for the front tires are completely wrong and no easy way to fix them without a 3D printer. I guess that I will have to sit down and learn blender in order to make correct wheels. Tires are OK, but the wheels are crap. The Panzer III was a tough build for me.
