On your shelf

If you are like me you have a heap of kits being "displayed" on the shelves in some room in the house, in the vain hopes that someone other than the cat and dust devils take an interest in them.
So show us your shelves!

The display shelves for my awarded builds were wrecked when the tornado hit our house in 2024. A great many of the models on those shelves came to grief when the roof fell in and we took water. Sorry mate. Naught to show.

sorry to hear that. Were they insured? I have mine covered in the house hold cover.
My what a big Discovery you have! :good:

We had coverage and basic structural repairs were complete by fall, 2024. Cosmetic repairs (Drywall finishing is lost on me.) continue. These had all been to shows and were awarded builds. No really good reason to make repairs, unless I wanted to fly them around some more.
It isn't Life & Death. They were just models.
We got a pretty good scare, but were thankfully unhurt.

Last year the store I work at gave me the glass display case from the Waterford Crystal. This thing is about 7 ft tall and 2 ft square. When I finally fill the shelves up I have some ideas to add more shelves, just will need to make some metal supports and get some glass cut. I replaced the HOT halogens with some 5K LED lights that don't even get warm and added a power switch to the bottom box to turn the lights on and off easily.
