I have been working on this little bird for the past couple of weeks.
Cockpit.

Closed the fuseluge and primed.

Started on the rotorhead. The large plastic push rods seemed a tad to large.

So out came the drill and wire. A much better fit was found.

Excellent, do they still use the Kiowa?
No sir. We started to replace them with NOTHING! after Desert Storm. I got out after waiting 2 years for a replacement.
The younger gentlemen were offered Black Hawk or Apache.
It was split 50 - 50 for slots.
Us older gentlemen flew the H model hueys until they change us to a medvac unit with Black Hawks and 2 Lakotas.
