My Magnum Opus Completed! ...and three others...

Thanks guys! Your compliments are greatly appreciated.

this is the killer train??? :ro:

nice done! :soldier

Yes sir, this is the killer train. It darn near killed me a few times with the difficulty of it's assembly!

Duke:

I would love to do a nationals someday, but the $$$ would probably kill me. I would not be able to make Denver, but an east coast nationals might be workable for the 50th anniversary nats.I definitely wish you well with your build.

Dave W.

Dave I know what you mean. That's why I won't be able to take this to Orlando. I sure would love to attend there! East coast nationals are always too far for me too. Hey, at least I can still take this around to all the local shows here.

Yeah, I'm sure you will do quite well at your local shows. I'm just glad its in 1/72, 'cause it would be HUGE in 1/35. Great job and I'm sure you'll do well at the locals.

Dave W.

Thanks Saul!

Actually, it would be very possible to motorize this model. I'd even considered it before I started, but once I got into the construction of this thing, that idea faded pretty quickly. It was tough enough just getting it built as a static model!
