Ian.

Ian, that sure doesn't hurt any. I never saw one of these till this model came out.

Dave we got PE and Resin inside, not as much PE as the Bulldozer has but it looks to be the same quality. Might start cutting sprue this weekend.

Cutting sprue...don't trust the instructions for part call out. Part E1 should be E3. Not sure when E1 is used, it looks to be the front bumper.

Pulled this out from ten years ago and the Recce campaign. I don't remember exactly why I stopped building this but I did. I do remember buying a backup kit so in my mind I may have fubared a part?

I don't know if I'm going to start over or build on with what I got. That angle on that drive shaft just looks impossible. Maybe not.

I really don't know much about these vehicles. I'm kinda interested in the challenge of building this thing.

Now I remember why I stopped building this.
Confusing instructions. There is no PE101. Reference photos are inconsistent. I think I told myself back then I'm not up to this build. I am now...:soldier

Drilling out parts. These are the tie rod links, if my scale hardware was stocked up I could have made this functional.

Well it could have been functional if the ball joints mated a bit better.

There's no retaining ring over the ball joint...yet. Just have to figure out how to do it. :bm:

My buddy Larry built this last year and it was a challenge. Canada built these Recce vehicles and ambulances based on the Humber Mk III layout , on a CT-15 CMP truck. I think most were used in Canada, but they did see service in Italy and NW Europe. looking forward to the build.

What can I say, I am a glutton for punishment!
