Hi Saul its a bit modern for me. these things will do 80mph in first and so many towns now have 20mph limits it actually makes them really hard to ride. As a model i tend to avoid anything thats has a fairing if i can as you can spend a lifetime detailing these things right down to electrical connections and never see it again.
There is a whole different world of motorcycle model builders out there and the after market range of upgrades would probably exceed all the other parts for all types put together.

Like my 1/32nd scale B-17 addiction. You don't want to know how much more I spent for all the aftermarket I added to the Memphis Bell kit.
I also saw this motorcycle listed somewhere today and it was $199. I have spent more than that on some recent tank kits, but won't on a motorcycle kit. Interests and priorities.

I think the problem for me here is its already painted and presumably the decals are on so having made most of the detail redundant behind the fairing and with no painting to do ......i dont really see the point.
I also note over here the non painted version is 1/3 of the price so about £58.00 and opposed to nearer £170 painted, at £58 its going to be good value as its 1/9 scale and a lot of newer tamiya bikes in 1/12 are equally priced. 95% of tamiya bikes are now re issues and you really do get 1980 quality kits at 2026 prices. Its a good reason why you never see me build tamiya bikes these days.

Yeah, that was the other thing about it. The pre-paint just turned me off. $60 for a 1/9th scale motorcycle to me might be doable, except I have no interest which is the thing. Everyone has their interests which is part of the hobby and which makes it enjoyable. I can appreciate someone doing a really nice build of about anything. Doesn't mean I want to build it.
You guys may not be the target, judging by the training wheels on the motorbike!
