I think its heartening the amount of effort the people of Europe put in to remembering the allied fighting men who died in action even though we are 70+ years on. It would be very easy to say we must move on and Europe is now united and it does little good in keep remembering the past.
The People of Great Britain i am sure are eternally grateful that particularly the "bomber boys" are remembered when some see the bombing campaign as indiscriminate and unnecessary. :drinks
