All three companies have announced that they are closing in 2026. They are owned by the same family but operate as separate entities. In comments on their Facebook pages, they will be winding down with a closure date sometime in the second half of the year.

After lengthy and heartfelt consideration, we’ve made the decision that 2026 will be MegaHobby.com’s last year of operation. After months of honest and open discussion, our family decided that the time has come to close this chapter and begin the next – while the business is strong, stable, and in a place we can be proud of.
Founded in 1999 — with our family's roots in the hobby industry stretching back to the 1950s — MegaHobby.com has been a source of pride and purpose for more than two decades. It has supported our family, provided work for hundreds of dedicated individuals, and, we hope, served as a trusted partner to our customers and suppliers across the world. The values instilled by our family — integrity, honesty, and fairness — have guided every decision we’ve ever made, and they will continue to do so through our final day.
We recognize our exit will leave a space in the online hobby market, but we’re hopeful that the space will be filled by companies who share the same commitment to integrity and honesty that we have always strived to uphold.

After months of open and honest conversation, we came to the conclusion that it’s time to close this chapter and begin the next.
Founded in 1983 — with our family's roots in the hobby industry stretching back to the 1950s — AAA Hobbies has been a source of pride and purpose for three generations. It has supported our family, provided work for hundreds of dedicated individuals, and, we hope, served as a trusted partner to customers and suppliers across the country. The values instilled by our founders — integrity, honesty, and fairness — have guided every decision we’ve ever made, and will continue to do so through our final day.
We recognize our exit will leave a void in the local hobby market. But we’re hopeful that the space will be filled by companies who share the same commitment to integrity and honesty that we have always strived to uphold.
