The basic camo is painted on and the few markings have also been added too.

The different turret and hull camo schemes are intentional as is the rough looking paint job on both.
I know the disc camouflage scheme on the turret should be hard edged, I just wanted to see if I could airbrush it. :hmmm On a larger scale it COULD work.
As it is now after a little paint fading and some weathering the turret painting will look much better.

After the coat of Future is fully dry I can start weathering this little monster.

This might not be a very good example for the weathering...its a very tiny model and I am not that experienced in weathering AFV's.

More work done on this model...a little more painting was done with enamels and oils. I wish this was 1/35 instead of 1/72 scale.

And to check what the model might look like when finished, a b/w pic. Actually I often take in-progress pics and remove the color to check how the weathering looks.

I will lightly fade only the very uppersurfaces and then add some dirt/mud to the bottom and lower sides and call it done.
There is an Opel Blitz in 1/35 scale I want to build and practice weathering on, 1/72 scale is too small to use as weathering practice.

When I add weathering to my airplane models I use the in-progress pics with the colors removed as a way to see how the weathering looks compared to the photographs in my reference books.

This Ostwind should be finishedin two or three days and the weather is expected to be good during that time which will make it easier to get some good pics of it.
My Me 262 Nightfighter I recently posted pics of was plagued with dark overcast days when I tried to get pictures of it.
