Oh man this is great!! You are helping me get through a mental block.

Thanks

:v

glad i can help :)
I love this build, because no rivet counter can tell me that something is wrong with it!! :D

Cool stuff! I really love sci-fi type imaginative builds like this.

You wanna bet.

Well, I don't want to be that 'rivet counter' but Maschinen Krieger is set 880 years in the future. Events primarily take place between 2882 and 2886 after a nuclear war, so to say it's late 40's I assume you mean 2947?

:pp :drinks :gogo

I'll tell you one thing,

There is nothing wrong with your imagination! Your build is really clean and it looks plausible.

Nice paint job as well!

Work goes on with the feets, toe-hinge added with supporting angles.
sanded down the edges with waterproof sanding paper to show how the metal have been worn down B)
Used to work with big digging machines, and alot of welding repairs on the buckets was a great reference on how even the hardest steel (swedish Hardox!)wears down after digging in the dirt :)

Now i'm busy working on the weld beads, here it's 3 1mm rods glued and pressed together to show a big weld made up of multiple layers

The grooves on the angleiron on the toe is for cutting tripwires, wich was a problem for these machines :D
