M2A3 started - finished and on a base!

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP

When I was a driver of a A0 Bradley, it had a 500 Cummings desiel and a GE hydrostatic transmission. All I know about today's Bradleys is that the engine was upgraded to a 650 Cummings. I also read the transmission was upgraded also. I think it still has 6 shocks each side like the A0.

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP

Great work Chris...I have no idea what it is...but I love all the brass and resin!

Great job . That thing looks really scarey . :woohoo: Also a very nice walk around . :cheer:

Cheers, Christian B)

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP

well, I finished the turret. As usual a pretty important piece of brass fell into the black hole known as the carpet.

Here it is primed with Tamiya fine white. I'm working on the lower hull now, also awaiting for the Fruli tracks to arrive.

I'm pretty happy with it.

I got the pattern off of the walk-a-round site I posted earlier. I'm taking a break for the day. Time to relax a bit. :blink

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP

and you get a correct front sprocket with those Frulis!

life is good 'eh?

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP

got a lot done this weekend. Primed and painted. I used MM Sand #33531 for the overall color. For the tracks I used burnt umber for the steel and nato black for the track pads. This was the first time I used nato black and I'm really liking it for rubber surfaces; the road wheels look good in this color as well.

After everything dries I'll begin the washing/dusting. then I'll think about a base to show it off.

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP

Much too clean, I'm sure you'll take care of that in short order! :mpup

Re: M2A3 started - first WIP completed!

I finished it today!
Various color washes based on actual photos.
Thanks for the kind words during this build. I ending up using more than 80% of the resin supplied. Not as much for the PE, some of it was just too small for me to work with and I can't see as well I as used to.

Hope you like it!
I think General Bradley would like it. HA!
