Lindberg models any good?

Has anyone here built any models from the Lindberg line? This is so tempting.

How is the detail on their models?

I know nothing about that particular kit but all of the 1/72 aircraft kits that I've seen from Lindberg are pretty basic.

I've built a few Lindberg kits and they tend to be hit and miss. They usually repop quite a few older kits. I did find a review for that kit http://modelingmadness.com/scott/cars/previews/lindberg/73072.htm

I would sat that they are good for what they are. As for the rig, Give it a shot, it couldn't hurt. :hmmm

Thanks for that link. I need to look around some more and see what the details on the dash board are like, and also see if they include the hookups for the trailer air brakes and lights. :pilot

I've only built their airplanes. The Kingfisher is ok with room for improvement. I'da thunk their wheel kits are similar. :bang head

Shalom.

I've built some of their military models and will say about all that they had in common with the original was the name. However, I've been told that their civilian car kits, and I assume that ruck, are pretty decent kits.

I must say thouht that Lindberg were excellent when I asked to but a number of parts to refurbish a 1/32 scale PT boat model I'd built years ago from their kit. lindberg sent me the requested abloutparts free.

Cheers from Peter

Their newer releases of cars, like the '64 Dodges, '66 Chevelle and such are really great kits. Some of their old kits are hit and miss, as others have said. So, this is a definite maybe, but that Skelly logo would be cool to see back in service. How bad can it be? :idonno

The only Lindberg kits I wouldn't touch were their 1/25 scale Ex-Pyro offerings, ie: the Cord, Auburn, and the '48 Lincoln. These have multi piece bodies and are not real fun to build. In my opinion, the only one of them that might be savable would be tha Lincoln, the rest are JUNK. The other car kits are pretty good. The '64 Dodge and Plymouth, as well as the Mustang and Cougar II, as well as the Little Red Wagen, and the Dodge 700 series Cabover (which is used in the kit you are interested in) are all ex-IMC kits and should be treated with respect because of the working features. IMHO Take your time and have a ball with it, it should be a fun ride.

I stand corrected. The Lindberg '64 Dodges and Plymouths are not ex-IMC kits. They are almost repops of Johan kits. All in all, they are still excellent kits.
