Woke up Saturday morning, had to do a little yard work before working on my Gotha.

Open the storage shed and this is what greets me.

Lol, lets go on top and have a little look.

So much for getting any work done on the Gotha.

Ouch! Did you get water damage too? Sending zen. :zen :zen

Sadly, I did have some water damage. It's not too bad and that will be saved for a different time. Looks like I will have to replace one plywood section of the flooring.

I want to tear down the whole shed and build a new one. This was already in place when I bought my house. Whoever built this shed was worse at reading a ruler than I am. Lol Nothing is square and you can see the work of miss measurements all over the build.

I have insurance but the deductible I would have to pay did not meet this little patch job on the roof.

Square is over rated. :rotf

Built a dog house once, Father in Law came by to inspect and said "I don't think that's square." "Mr. Moss, if you wanted this square you should have been here 2 hours ago!" :rotf

LMAO....I know the feeling. Why I work on cars for a living and why i am not a carpenter.

Things that go bump in the night are rarely good things.
Shortly after I married my second wife, I was awakened by a thunderous crash that came from her closet. Of course, I was the one who had to get up and check it out. I slid open the folding doors to reveal one of the most horrific sights I could ever imagine. On the floor, mixed in with her ever-expanding wardrobe, lay the remains of three dioramas. I had foolishly placed them on the wire-rack shelf that was attached to the rod that had moments before held her clothes. It had buckled under the weight. I was in shock.
I looked over at her and told her what had happened. She says, "That's okay. You can pick it all up in the morning."
I had placed them on the shelf because she raised a stink about displaying them in our newly built apartment. She thought modeling was a bit childish and definitely geeky. That was 10 years ago, so I don't recall what I ever saw in her in the first place, which is probably why I now refer to her as my second ex-wife.
Is it mean to say that I miss my dioramas way more than her? I think not.

Reminds me of the old joke, "My wife ran off with my fishin' buddy, I sure do miss him." :rotf

I've yet to build a model I felt was worthy of display in the house, though the P47 ranks pretty far up there. Cindy is always telling me we should have them on display, guess I caught a pretty good one. :love

Rhino always says "Women are like parking spaces, the good ones are taken and the rest are handicapped." :tomato

I chose wisely the second time around, Michelle takes an interest in what I'm building, but thinks the "cars are cooler than tanks". She also watched the World War documentaries with me and gets it. :good:
