Ki-49 II Helen in Jungle Fever

Hi Everyone,

This is my first Diorama Thread, I hope not the last.

I am showing a Nakajima Ki-49 II Donryu "Helen" in an advanced Japanese jungle airfield. These precarious outpost were dispersed over the Pacific Theatre, the one here is supposed to be in New Guinea around 1943. Note the rudimentary wood-construct for bomb-loading.

The model is a Nakajima Ki-49 from Hasegawa with PE from Eduard in 1/72. Figures from CMK and Diorama plates from Coastal Kit UK.

I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Alex

Thanks a lot you all. Appreciated. It was fun to build and these background pictures from Coastal Kits in the UK are really great. Wait until you see the Japanese carriers.

Cheers

Alex
