Sounds like some nasty tornado weather happening in the Central States. Hear that Mississippi was hit hard. Stay safe guys.

I have to drive through MS tomorrow. :S I was going to get through the state today. I am glad I held off.

I lived in the deep south for 16 years and never saw a tornado (a couple of hurricanes, but no tornadoes).

I hope everyone stays low and is careful... I was in Xenia OH after the '74 storm and spent three years on St Croix after Hugo blew it away...

Mother Nature is no one to fool with....

I've been here all my life, short of my time served in North Dakota, I've seen the aftermath around here all to often but we're lucky in Upstate South Carolina because the Blue Ridge mounts generally knock the punch out of those storms coming east.

The only time I "saw" a tornado was up in ND. The tail went over the Alert Ramp and touched down in the field beyond there. Can not imagine what would have happened if it hit the Alert Ramp! 8 KC 135s fully loaded with fuel and 5 B52s loaded with "special weapons"!? :blink

My daughter and son in law started back towards Texas yesterday and holed up in Apaloosa ,Alabama last night because of the tornadoes .

Spent some time hiding in the bath tub during the night .

Cheers, Christian B)
