Hi guys!
I'm new here. Joined a few days back and I figured it is about time to introduce myself. Friends call me Balki. I made a mistake of telling them stories from the old country about how things used to be and in return they started calling me Balki. If you are old enough to remember "Perfect Strangers" you can figure out why.
Anyway, I have been building models for a long time, but a year ago my modeling came to a stop when my son Adam was born. Had to sell some of my models, move the rest to the garage and turn my workshop into his bedroom. Now very, very slowly I am getting back in the modeling saddle. Most of my model building is done at work out of my tool box. I can always glue a few pieces together while waiting on parts or finish working on an engine ahead of schedule. Now you know why running a diagnostic scan on your car can take so long. The next time you drop off your car to be worked on, make sure that the mechanic doesn't build models. It might take forever to get your car fixed and you might get it back in the German ambush scheme.
My favorite subjects are Russian and Polish armor and soft skin vehicles from WWII era. Anything that I can paint a white eagle or a white/red checker board on is just fine with me.
That's about all I can say about myself. If you want to know more you need to take me out for a dinner and a movie first.
See you around
Balki
