ok so pretty much I've got 2 gunships for a possible, but I'm pretty set on the UH 1C Heavy.... the Frog might be a secondary.

I'm baaack...

ok so sat down an cleand off the bench... as you can see...

calm before the storm... chuckles started out with the 40 MikeMike... it was suckage looking so I figured I'd give it alil sprucing up... brass tube lil super glue and tadaaa...

the Support arm * not sure what the tech term for the part is *, but it's getting replaced as well with brass tube.

Glass was all polished up with tamiya fine, then finish compound... *photo showing is the finish compound on *..

Currently the rockets are on the bench and will be moving on to the mounts tonight.

Just a small update, so I haven't done much... anyways

I'm reworking the seats as well the kit seat is UGLY... so I've replaced the spring system on them. Had fun punching* punch set used came from Micro Mark* out disks to fill in pinmarks.. gotta love that.. an then worked on the engine exhaust pipe...

Hi there.

If you think those seats are ugly then you should see the ones in the 1/32 scale Revell UH-1D kits. Lots of scratch-building to do there. LOL

I'll be following your build with interest. Maybe your Gunship(s) will escort my Dustoff when it goes in to make a pick up?

Peter, I know what you mean bout them seats on the 32nd huey... I've got about 30 of them in the cache and they the most ugliest seats ever done in plastic... I've got a couple sets of the cobra company update stuff, but the M-60 stations came out like crap, but the seats are perfect, so no complaints LOL


I see no reason why a snake shouldn't pave the way for a slick !!!always nicer to land after the grounds been chewd up by snakes anyways...hehe

ok so after alil bit of being MIA I'm back with a small update...


seats are done, working on the upper cabin now... photos to come, but here are the seats.

couple minor things I have to tweak, but for the most part they are done build wise... will add the PE later after I get some paint on them. Oh almost forgot..still have to redo the mount for the armor shields.
 
Chris, I got one of those huge 1:24 scale hueys, I'm grabbin' your work on this as reference. I don't know how accurate you are but it looks danged good!
