Iron Mike
Master At Arms And Resident Curmudgeon
Hey Gang! Yesterday, Chris and I went over to Charlotte Motor Speedway to take in the Southeast Nationals Goodguys Rod & Custom show. What a beautiful day! Weather was perfect and the grounds were jammed with hot rods, customs and muscle cars. Here's a few photos I took, but this is only a small percentage of the cool rides that participated.
The Venue
The "grass" near the finish line isn't real this time of year.
On to the rides!
Took this one for my wife.
For Rhino.
Inspiration for my '29 Roadster build.
This 32 valve mill looked right at home in the Ford.
There's something about red and black that trips my trigger.
For Babydoc
Shiny Nailhead!
This guy participated in the burnout contest, note the rubber flecks on the paint and lack of tread at the rear.
Smokin'!
Always nice to see a Ford in a Ford!
hyeah
Hemi power works for me too.
Photography does not do this paint scheme justice.
For the Pup
Cobrajet Mustang!
Inside the Kids Tent, the Make & Take was underway, along with a model car contest.
It was good to see all the kids with their finished cars. :salute
Looks just like my cousin's old ride. RIP Ricky T.
:drinks
Another one for Babydoc
Be cool, stay in school.
'53 Studebaker was powered by this behemoth, don't know why I didn't get the outside shot? :idonno
Leadsled
For Saul

The wooden speedboat was really beautiful, couldn't get a good photo angle however.
I really dug the lines of this sedan and the flames sealed the deal.
Not something you see everyday.
Fins!
More roadster inspiration.
Something tells me that one of these days, this will be a classic.
For Randy Ditton
Gearjammer?
Love the orange and the attitude. B)
You think one is shiny? You can see my hands in the upper left corner while I snapped the photo.
Dig that crazy strap on rearview mirror!
ORANGE!
Well, that's the story, hope you enjoyed the ride.
