Hi all

i was trying to find out if the Germans had a form of the LRDG and what vehicles would they have used, also did the Brits/Common Wealth LRDG use any German vehicles. I know the Italians had a form of LRDG although they tended to patrol their own are trying to intercept the LRDG and did not tend to venture into British Territory.
Please remember not to say that would never have happened ...as you will find out that Glen will make it his lifes work to find pictures accounts etc lol

Any info would be great
Cheers Chris

Squadron has a book on sale right now for $9.99 called "German Special Forces of WW2". The forces mentioned are Skorzeny's Commandos, The Brandenburgers and so-called Kleinkampfverbaende which are forerunners of elite forces like the Navy Seals. From what I gathered, the Brandenburgers, which are similiar to the british SAS are probably the closest. Here is a link from Wikipedia with a description of some of the action they took part in. This might help you to give you an idea.
